Never under estimate how busy a humanities student can be…
I will admit, term one of second year was gone before I even knew it had started. Whilst I really enjoy being part of different societies, I found it really difficult managing my work and social time last term. What with my first assessed essay (that actually counts towards my degree) being due in and trying not to become a social hermit crab, I've not been able to blog as much as I want to!
So starting from now I am going to be blogging regularly again and attempting to take control of my timetable that seemed to dictate everything I did last term! I've just handed in another assessed essay and now I'm free for a few weeks before the essay titles are released for my next ones, so I have some time to get myself organised. Luckily I've gone from having five modules last term, to only three this term, so hopefully that will free me up with some time to blog in!
Living with people who study PPE, Chemistry and Economics means I very rarely admit to them that I'm feeling rushed off my feet, because let's face it - my "busy" twelve hours of contact time, is a quiet week for them... But last term I really was super busy!
Although term one was crazy, it's been my most enjoyable at Warwick so far. I'm really loving living in Leamington and I would recommend it to everyone when they begin looking for a place to live in second year. As much as living on campus is great for those early starts where you can literally crawl out of bed ten minutes before a lecture, it really is so much nicer getting away from campus that can sometimes feel like 'the bubble'!
