Just In Case? – My Essential Luggage List of What to Bring to Warwick
Going to another university or studying abroad for your postgraduate degree is a pretty big deal, especially when it comes to packing your luggage. It’s really tempting to simply dump all of your stuff in a few suitcases and risk leaving important things behind. This just isn’t realistic because most students will live in a tiny room. That’s why this blog shall put together a list of everything you will need when coming to Warwick.
Before we start, there are 2 tips you should consider while packing:
(1) Leaving behind things that you can easily buy at Warwick.
(2) Checking the items that will be provided by your accommodation. Most of them will provide basic stuff.
By completing these 2 steps, the unnecessary weight to you luggage will be reduced significantly.

In fact, these are not essential because you can easily purchase them from grocery store right in the middle of the campus. However, they are still included in the list to give an idea of what you need for your study.
If you are staying in student halls, there is a high chance that you will be provided with essential kitchen items. Therefore, there’s no need to bring those stuff. If these are not provided, you can also easily pick them up from the local supermarket.

Regarding books and reading lists for your course, this information will be given to you on the induction day. For some resources, you can easily download them from the Internet with the link provided by the professors. Otherwise, you can always borrow them from Warwick Library on the center campus or buy them from the Warwick Bookstore.
This list is created in accordance to my friends’ and my personal experience. However, as the needs of each person are different, you can base on this list and adjust it accordingly. In the worst case scenario, you can always buy these stuff from the stores on campus. Don’t forget that Warwick is itself a small town. So don’t worry too much!
